Article Title:
Review: Dells's acrobatic XPS 12 is the Windows 8 convertible to beat.

Article Source:
ars technica

Summary:
Dell's XPS 12 is a touchscreen laptop and it is a tablet. The screen turns on its axis so it will become a tablet. The laptop is still a little bit heavy to be a smaller tablet.

Reaction:
This laptop could be a great tool. I really like how it can turn into a tablet so you can just finish what ever you was doing on your laptop. It would be a great way on how people go to school. They can just do their homework or research on the XPS 12. This laptop can lead to bigger and better things in the world. I would really like this laptop.

World Impact:
XPS 12 could make a major difference in the world. It could lead to a lot better things for our schools, jobs, and homes. I think we will start producing better things so more and more people can learn much easier. The only problem that I got is if the screen is durable. I wouldn't like to get the XPS 12 and turn it over and it just breaks.

Delayed iMacs.

Article Title:
Delayed 2012 iMacs may not be delayed after all.

Article Source:

ARS technica

Summary:
This article is about how the 21.5 inch and 27 inch iMacs will might still be coming out on time. Tim Cook said that Apple will might still have problems meet the deadline. Some people has already pre-ordered their iMacs for Christmas.

Reaction:
This event is a good thing, but some people will get mad if they don't come out when they are said they are supposed to.The iMacs are coming out at a great time. Christmas is coming up and that would be a great present. If it came out this week then it would be great for Black Friday. This is a great thing for technology and I think Apple will come up with bigger and better things.

World Impact:
This will impact the world in many ways. This is a great computer that is coming out because no one likes the big bulky key boards or computer screens. This computer has the body built in to the monitor. Since the monitor has everything in it then it makes the screen big. With older people wanting to learn more about technology then it is good for the iMacs so they can read it better then reular comeputer screens.

week 9

This week has been amazing!!! We finally moved into our new building. This building is so beautiful and I am happy that we are in it.

This week we learned some terms about computers so here is a list of them.
  • Track: When companies collect information about you based on your online behavior.
  • Target: When companies tailor content to you based on the information they have collected about you.
  • Demographic: Common categories of the population, such as age, gender, and race.
  • Cookies: Data files that are stored on your computer when you visit certain sites, which are often used by companies to identify repeat customers and personalize visitors' experiences
This week our web. 2.0 is Mixbook. Mixbook is where you can make a book of pictures online and its for free. I think the good thing about Mixbook is that you can design your own book for any occasion. The bad part is that it don't have that much calorful stuff for people to pick over.

How can these words relate to the idea of targeting and tracking? well first thing is that people can track you no matter how good you are good at computers and how much you delete your cookies. The secound thing is that being bad about some website using someone elses picture can be true and you won't have nothing to do about it.

This event can be good for people that wants to edit photos. This could be good for people and bad for people because everyone is the different. Personally I would not get this app because I wouldn't really find the use for it.

World Impact
This event could be so popular in so many ways and in so many countries. This is a great way to stay connected with friends and family. You could send this to your family members all across the world and have fun with it. You could also keep in touch with family members that are in the military. This is a great way to have fun.

week 8

This week we learned a lot of stuff online. We went on DDL and learned a lot of stuff about staying safe online and how people can stalk you so you don't give out information where other people can see it.

This week we learned words like:
Represent: How you present yourself to others.
Persona: An image or personality you portray to others.
Avatar: An image or graphic that represents you online.
Anonymous: Hidden identity.
Inhibited: Careful or restrained about your actions or impulse.

This week we learned how we can make our blogs fun and creative. It is on this web site called Glogster. You can make a blog but with pictures. It is very cool how it lets you put so many graphics and stuff on there. I made a gloster and had really fun with it. I didn't get to finish but ill show it to you anyways. I really liked the Glogster. I would diffently use this website again. the only thing that I didn't like about it was that it was not that easy to use, as in how it was difficult to find some stuff.

This week we learned how some people see themselves as a different person online. Some people just lives online and has friends online, but in real life they will might be someone different. This week when we was learning about this it made me think about the people that really do spend most of their time online.
